Like the resilient Baobab tree, we must adapt with the grace of the Bissap hibiscus flower. The Mission District has been facing tough economic times, and much of the international crowd that once filled our space has diminished. In response, we’ve made the difficult decision to shift our focus from heavy cooking to lighter fare, offering bites like pasteles, plantains, wings, and marquesitas (Latin crepes) to better serve our local neighbors.
For those who love our traditional dishes like Ceebu Jën, we’re happy to prepare them for you, but they will now require pre-ordering. Our late-night events and celebrations will continue as usual, bringing the vibrant energy you’ve come to expect.
We hope you understand this change as we navigate these challenging times and work to maintain our space for the community. Our updated menu will be available online soon, and we deeply appreciate your trust and continued support.
